The user experienced difficulties browsing and selecting hotels in the search results of the hotel booking service. High drop-off rate from the search results page. The design was outdated, and the hotel card had become hard to scale.

Simplify the process of choosing accommodations so that users can easily find the most suitable and cost-effective hotel or room based on their preferences. Increase the number of bookings and reduce the resources spent on maintaining the search results page.

✦ merged the map and list into a single page, which reduced technical support costs for the search results by 1.5x, since previously the development team maintained separate, independent pages for the list and the map
✦ kept only the most popular filters on the main page and moved the rest into a popup, based on analytics showing that 94% of users used only 2 to 5 filters
